Twilight Movie Review

*What a Relief!*

I do have to say that the movie was not disappointing at all. I enjoyed the full two hours of the movie and highly recommend it to everyone. Now that I have that out of the way....

The beginning of the movie was a little scary. The first half hour or so was filled with bad acting and true laugh out loud cheesiness. I was really worried that the rest of the movie was going to be this way. I think I might have fainted just because I was holding my breath waiting for it to get better. The whole scene where Edward first 'smells' Bella is HILARIOUS! In the book the scene was very tense and for those of you who have read Midnight Sun, you know that it was a very dangerous and serious moment. So you can see why I was really really disappointed with that scene and how it was portrayed.

After the initial teen awkwardness of first meeting was over the movie picked up much better after that. I have to go on record to say that the best actress in the movie is the gal who plays Rosalie. She played a small part but she really did the best.

Kristin Stewart (Bella) played the part really well, but her acting skills leave much to be desired, I think. In certain parts, she either overacted or not acted enough. Physically she did a great job (i.e. falling, tripping, doe-eyed).

Rob P. (Edward) truly impressed me (other than the scene mentioned above). I thought his casting was the worst and actually turned out very good. He played the inner turmoil thing very well but he was part of the cheesiness in the beginning.

OKAY moving onto my favorite part....the kissing scene. Yeah......that was HOT so hot that John had to recreate the scene for me. It was hot all around. The whole slow kiss then the throwing on the bed...*shiver** But you guys have to experience that on your own! I do have to say that the theater was extremely quiet during that part, really quiet :)

All in all, the movie was definately worth the wait and the $8 for the ticket and the $20 I will be paying for the DVD. :)

Go watch it!
