Easter Hunting Fun

I hope everyone had a great Easter this past weekend! The weather here was picture perfect.

On Saturday we enjoyed a fabulous Grilling Festival. Everyone was told to bring a different red meat product to grill. It was fabtastic. We had tacos all day and into the evening. To top it off we had a yummy vanilla froted cake. The kiddies searched for eggs and while we watched the scurry around the yard for those easily viewd eggs. The evening ended with a movie viewing of Hot Shots. Yeah with Charlie Sheen. It was great.

On Sunday we trekked it to Genoa for another family gathering. We had the best ham (I've had), green bean casserole, creamed corn, double baked potatoes and lots more! For dessert we had cheesecake, chocolate cookies, chocolate cake, chocolate chip bars...oh my goodness I was so full! Of course we had another egg hunt but this one included all the adults! It was really funny seeing us grown adults scampering around the yard looking for our easter eggs. The evening ended with all of us playing 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'. Dad was the big winner of the evening.

This weekend was really fun being with family. The food is always good and the company is the best. Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Monday!

Yuck! Where did all this snow come from??? I foolishly put away all my snow coats and gear last weekend. I'm sure God wanted to have a bit of fun at our expense. It was horrible! It snowed late Saturday night and well into Sunday morning.

Well, at least we didnt' have to dig our way out of it. By the time we had bolstered enough courage to get out of the house...it had melted! Yipee!

Now for all of it to go away.

LOTR Movie Day

So my friend Darcy has decided to host an extended viewing of Lord of the Rings movie day on Saturday! This should be fun. We are starting at around eleven in the morning to round out the day around 11pm on Saturday. Hopefully my butt won't fail on me. John is uber excited.....

I am bringing my awesome popcorn maker and other snacks. I think I should plan a movie day for my friends too. Hmm....which ones should I do?

The Land of the Unknown - Facebook

I caved. Like totally caved nasty style. John isn't going to let me live it down. I had dinner with Teresa on Friday night (which by the way I'll talk about later) and she was going on about all our high school friends on Facebook.

I must admit I was curious myself. So on Saturday night (we stayed home that night), John and I ventured into the land of Facebook. We were pretty intrigued-I would say he more than I- and decided to open an account. After opening the account, I was overwhelmed with all the stuff on the website. We invited friends and hoped for the best.

Needless to say, all of our friends found us and it was a pretty fun thing. Now as you know I am not a great keeper-upper of all things blog and website stuff. So I will try to do my best.

By the way SNL sucked this weekend.

3:30 am and I was still typing

Double Woot! I finished the sequel to Tempting Fate on Sunday morning. I typed for a couple of hours late Saturday night and ended up typing for about six hours. Yeah I'm crazy but its done!

Now I just have to go through it and add stuff and do some editing. I can't wait! FYI, I just checked Lulu and my books been downloaded 1732 times and I've had over 4000 hits! I am truly stoked and can't wait to share the second book with everyone.

Twilight Movie Review

*What a Relief!*

I do have to say that the movie was not disappointing at all. I enjoyed the full two hours of the movie and highly recommend it to everyone. Now that I have that out of the way....

The beginning of the movie was a little scary. The first half hour or so was filled with bad acting and true laugh out loud cheesiness. I was really worried that the rest of the movie was going to be this way. I think I might have fainted just because I was holding my breath waiting for it to get better. The whole scene where Edward first 'smells' Bella is HILARIOUS! In the book the scene was very tense and for those of you who have read Midnight Sun, you know that it was a very dangerous and serious moment. So you can see why I was really really disappointed with that scene and how it was portrayed.

After the initial teen awkwardness of first meeting was over the movie picked up much better after that. I have to go on record to say that the best actress in the movie is the gal who plays Rosalie. She played a small part but she really did the best.

Kristin Stewart (Bella) played the part really well, but her acting skills leave much to be desired, I think. In certain parts, she either overacted or not acted enough. Physically she did a great job (i.e. falling, tripping, doe-eyed).

Rob P. (Edward) truly impressed me (other than the scene mentioned above). I thought his casting was the worst and actually turned out very good. He played the inner turmoil thing very well but he was part of the cheesiness in the beginning.

OKAY moving onto my favorite part....the kissing scene. Yeah......that was HOT so hot that John had to recreate the scene for me. It was hot all around. The whole slow kiss then the throwing on the bed...*shiver** But you guys have to experience that on your own! I do have to say that the theater was extremely quiet during that part, really quiet :)

All in all, the movie was definately worth the wait and the $8 for the ticket and the $20 I will be paying for the DVD. :)

Go watch it!

From the desk of Mrs. Craig

Dang it! I've gone and done it...I've gotten married! I will soon have pictures for your viewing pleasure. :) Yes I am at work today, but-I will be leaving for beautiful Mazatlan, Mexico on Saturday! WOOT!

The ceremony was a blur and the reception was so much fun. I hope everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves. There was much dancing and much drinking. I will leave you with some photos that Tere's husband Benny took for us after the ceremony.

EBay Experience

Welp, I venture into Ebay selling territory. I have decided to sell all my Stampin Up! stuff...it's sad, I know. I am selling my ink pad set on Ebay and I hope that goes well. I have never sold anything on Ebay in my life! Hopefully I can sell all the stuff before the wedding :) You know to pay off my rising mound of debt! Hehehe.

Anyhoo, so I had an eventful weekend. Worked all day on Saturday at the Library. Thankfully it was pretty busy and the time flew by. It was a good day to bring kiddies to get books. Afterwards, I went to my future in-law's home for a surprise birthday party for John's dad. That was fun, there was a lot of food and the afternoon was nice. Unfortunately, I did not get any trampoline time! BOO!!!!

Sunday we putzed around all day. We were extremely tired, but I managed to finish my candleholders for the wedding centerpieces. THAT is a relief.

All in all a pretty good weekend.

BIG shout of Happy Birthday to Jeff!

I'm out.
