Woot! Woot?
The good news: I will be finally able to open a window in my bathroom, bedroom and living room.
The bad news: Windows are friggin' expensive
It all started when we saw our roof (on the addition side) start bubbling. After years of debating where the heck that water came from, we finally saw the light. One of the bedroom windows are so old that they have warped and do not lay flat against the siding of the house - erego - leak. We grudgingly decided to get our windows replaced. It would be a much better option than having to replace windows and a roof.
Anyhoo, the window measurer guy came yesterday and our windows will come in about 4 weeks. Yeah!

Brr...

You see that snowman? That is me. Someone in their genius mind decided to turn OFF the heat in our department AND THEN proceed to lock the thermostat so we couldn't get to it.... It's been that way since Tuesday. We have searched high and low and noone seems to have a key to it (or someone doesn't want to admit they locked it). So finally we had my boss pick the lock to open it today. That is how we found out it was off!!!
As it sit here dethawing my frozen fingers, I am thankful that I had a little heater that I've been hording all week. I didn't share...dang!

Down the hill, no end in sight
I'm sure you guys have all seen our wonderful U.S. markets go downhill and for quite some time. Initially everyone had thought that the market may have bottomed out a couple weeks ago and we were all just testing out the bottom. Unfortunately, as you saw yesterday that is totally not the case.
Sadly, I personally think the markets won't recover until next summer. If you guys have any questions or concerns feel free to contact your investment representative or give me a call and we can chat about it.
Due to the limitations on my license, I can't really write about it, but I want to let you guys know that I am always available for questions or concerns. :)
Hopefully you guys are in a position where you can ride this whole mess out.
Copy and paste the link if you want to see what the market is doing.

Or maybe don't :(

Let's get to the ROOT of the Problem!
So we shelled out the moolah and paid for a plumber. Turns out we would have never been able to fix this problem ourselves. They used an electrical rodder and put in at least 75 feet of rod through the sewer line and pulled out ROOTS! Stinkin' bushes is what I say. Apparently the roots were clogging up our sewer lines. We now have to dump some root killer in our lines at least every 4 months. Bummer-but whatever helps, I guess.
But at least that problem is behind us and we have the weekend to look forward too - problem free! Yipee!
I'm out.

CRAP! No really...
so are fargin sewer line decided to go on strike. Really sometimes owning an old home can be such a pain in the tookus.
We come home on Sunday night and I go down to start laundry, well John goes down the basement with me. We immediately smell something foul afoot! (heehee, had to throw that one in). He turns on the light and there is sewer water all over our floor but just on one side of the basement, thankfully.
Welp, the famous Craig temper got the better of him and my ears are still burning. So we had to do the unthinkable and head over to Barsema (where they have nice bathrooms) to do our business that night. Trust, John was NOT happy. Neither was I, but I can deal.
I got the good old steel tape from the City to try our luck unplugging it ourselves last night. Yeah...that didn't work. So I think we are going to have to pony up some hard earned dough and pay a plumber. We are going to try one more thing and pray that it works first. Hopefully it will work so I can bleach the hell out of our floor (not looking forward to that either).
Yuck!

One And a Half.....
Welp, still a bit sick. I am sitting here cheering our Joe Biden. Can I just say that Sarah Palin does not know what the word "Debate" means. Did she even refute any solid points and counterpoints that Joe made? No. Anyhoo, I will save that political post for another day.
So for those concerned citizens out there. My throat is no longer sore, I still no hearing on one ear but my sense of smell is coming back! :) I am still stuffy in the nose area. But have no fear I am ready to roll-I think. I will be posting a joke tonight because I will too busy tomorrow. Woot Woot!

Hole? Yes, we're trying to dig out of it.
So...last night our lovely Refridigerator, who I will lovingly call it 'Useless Piece of S**t", decided to stop working. We were thisclose to going to the grocery store earlier to do our shopping. Luckily for us (the only silver lining) we were too lazy to go out in the rain.
I was happily making dinner and about to make some delicious biscuits when I went into the fridge to take out our new gallon of milk. John and I are chatting about our day when all the sudden *plop* came out the milk. 'Plop I said?', why was the milk going plop? I did something noone in their right mind should ever do...I smelled it. YUCK! I immediately gagged and shoved it into John's nose for him to smell and take (he's even worse about those kind of things than I am). So we wondered why this brand new milk had gone bad. We open our 'UPofS' and realize it wasn't cool!
After much cussing and screaming, we loaded what stuff we could say and hauled our cookies to the bank to use their fridge for the night. Blah! I will be calling a repair man today-I hate calling them!
