I remember when I was 11....

Weee!!! So I had my first book club meeting yesterday at the library. All the lovely gals that attended were all under 12. I was extremely excited about talking Twilight Talk with them so we immediately started on their favorite topic....Edward.

All I said was 'So why do you guys think Bella fell for Edward? What makes him special?'. And the overwhelming response was 'Edward is so dreamy!' 'I love Edward!' and the always favorite 'He's my hero'. I looked around the table at all the girls lit up faces and thought this is our future dating scene! Wow!!!

So I played the devil's advocate and tried to disolve the image that Edward (the hero) is not the elusive 'Perfect Man'. It was hard but I think I got some of them to think that-Yes Edward is a bit possessive and restrictive and a bit depressing! Score one for the jaded mind! Woot!

Anyhoo, we talked the whole hour on all things Twilight and I was astounded how an 11 year old girl's mind works. Geez, was I that gullible. All in all it was fun and I felt like I myself was 12 years old, especially when we started talking about Dreamy Jacob **sigh***. Go Team JACOB!!!
