So it has gotten really cold all of the sudden. Yesterday on my day off I decided to be a bit ambitious and rake my leaves. After an hour and half of non-stop raking, I can proudly show off three strong blisters! Yuck...I'm so delicate!
The day continued with sitting my blistered self down and watching Be Cool with John Travolta and America's Sweetheart with one of my favorite actors (and IL native) John Cusack. I pretty much sat the rest of the day and watched the rain come down.
I of course had to go into the Library to work. It was so SLOW that I finished reading a book! True dat! Luckily my boss was not there to reprimand my actions (or lack thereof).
As far as today goes....I woke up this morning and realized that raking not only creates blisters but it also creates a LOT of back/side pain. I tried to class it up at work today (with new pants and a shirt) and ended up looking like an old lady in dire need of walking shoes. I cannot walk straight with my side aching like crazy! NOTE TO SELF: Avoid raking at all costs.
I sat on my porch freezing my a** on my lunch today and enjoyed my leaf-free yard. I figured I damn well better live it up.
