Book Review - Desperate Duchess

I just have to post this because this author kicks butt in the romance department. I'll try not to include spoilers.

Okay so I wasn't a big fan of regent novels (i.e. books about England in the 18th century) I am more into pirate, Scottish, kind of take me away novels. BUT...Eloisa James is a fab regency novella writer. Her stories are pretty detailed when it comes to those times and her stories are pretty creative.

I am currently reading Desperate Duchess by James and it took me a while to get into but the main male character is unlike one I have known. He is purely typical British in that time. It is pretty amazing how she presents him. In fact, I don't think I've ever read a romance novel where the man is not overbearing, possessive freak. I'm intrigued.

I would say on a scale from 1 - 5 (one being the worst). It is a 3 1/2 stars.
